Job Summary
Seeking a highly analytical and project-ready Payroll Analyst, this remote contract position will manage core payroll processes, support high-priority strategic initiatives, and ensure operational continuity across US and Canadian jurisdictions during a project-intensive cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax reconciliation and audits, preparing documentation for federal and state tax filings in the US and Canada
- Oversee year-end operations, including pre-year-end audits and data balancing for W-2, 1099, and T4 issuance
- Support organizational projects through report generation, data extraction, and system alignment
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of hands-on payroll processing and reconciliation experience in the US and Canada
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience with organizational projects and complex tax reconciliation initiatives
- PCP or CPP designation preferred
- Advanced knowledge of third-party payroll systems (e.g., ADP, iiPay)
