Payroll Implementation Specialist

Job Summary

To support clients in optimizing payroll solutions, the full-time Payroll Implementation Specialist will manage the implementation lifecycle, including gathering requirements, configuring payroll systems, and delivering client training, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead payroll implementation projects from discovery through go-live, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Configure payroll systems, including earnings and deduction codes, tax settings, and direct deposit setup
• Conduct payroll data reviews, validation, and testing to ensure accurate system setup and client readiness

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in payroll, payroll implementation, HRIS implementation, or payroll consulting
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices
• Experience implementing or configuring payroll platforms such as Paychex, ADP, or Workday
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations
• Strong project management and client relationship management skills
