Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership for payroll operations, the full-time Payroll Manager will oversee accurate and compliant payroll administration, manage payroll tax compliance, and lead a team in process improvements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll functions, establishing priorities and operating standards for timely payroll delivery
• Ensure payroll tax compliance and maintain audit readiness by implementing appropriate controls and procedures
• Lead major payroll projects, including system implementations and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
• Minimum of six years of experience managing full-cycle payroll processing and tax compliance
• Recent experience with Workday Payroll, demonstrating proficiency in payroll processing and data management
• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll tax compliance and applicable federal, state, and local requirements
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and evaluate team performance effectively
