Payroll Manager - North Carolina

Job Summary

Taking ownership of a multi-state payroll and benefits function, the contract-to-hire Payroll Manager - North Carolina will lead biweekly payroll processes, optimize the recently implemented UKG environment, and partner with HR and Finance to enhance operational efficiency while working primarily remotely with occasional in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead biweekly payroll operations, ensuring structure and consistency in the process
• Drive optimization of the UKG environment, managing integrations, feeds, and payroll processes
• Oversee benefits administration and contribute to the upcoming open enrollment cycle

Required qualifications

• Proven payroll and benefits leadership experience with ownership of the function
• Hands-on experience with UKG and familiarity with its operational environment
• Experience managing multi-state payroll and navigating associated complexities
• Strong background in benefits administration, including open enrollment involvement
• Experience in environments with prevailing wage requirements is highly valuable
