Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To provide coverage for a leave of absence, the contract Payroll Specialist will manage monthly payroll activities for a multi-state employee population using Workday Payroll, with the opportunity to work fully remotely for approximately 4 months.

Key responsibilities

• Process and support monthly U.S. payroll activities for a multi-state employee population
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with third-party payroll service providers regarding payments and inquiries

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on U.S. payroll processing experience using Workday Payroll
• Experience managing the full payroll cycle in a multi-state environment
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, garnishments, and compliance requirements
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll issues
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUPs and data analysis
