Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support the transition from ADP to UKG, the part-time temporary Payroll Specialist will manage data preparation, payroll testing, and initial payroll processing while collaborating with the Payroll lead and implementation team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review employee and payroll data, ensuring accuracy and consistency while documenting discrepancies
• Execute payroll test scripts, conduct parallel payroll comparisons, and maintain thorough records of results
• Assist with payroll data reconciliation during cutover and initial payroll cycles, providing documentation and support as needed

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including data review and reconciliation
• Working knowledge of payroll components such as earnings, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping inputs
• Experience with payroll or HRIS platforms and identifying discrepancies in payroll reports
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables for payroll reconciliation
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures while managing confidential information
