Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support payroll operations, the full-time Payroll Specialist will process multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, manage employee data changes, and prepare financial reports while working remotely during EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll, including calculations for overtime, PTO, and union contributions
• Prepare financial reports summarizing earnings, tax deductions, and union dues for audits and management requests
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide support for employee inquiries through various communication channels

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll or data processing experience
• 2+ years of experience with Workday
• 1+ year of customer service experience
• Experience working with multiple unions, preferably in the media industry
• Previous experience with multi-state payroll and HRIS functions
