Payroll Specialist
Job Summary
To support the Payroll Team Services, the full-time Payroll Specialist will process multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, perform payroll calculations, and prepare financial reports, all while working remotely during EST hours.
Key responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll and perform calculations for overtime, PTO, and union contributions
- Prepare financial reports summarizing earnings, tax deductions, and union dues for audits and management requests
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide timely support for employee inquiries through various communication channels
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of payroll or data processing work experience
- 2+ years of experience with Workday
- 1+ year of customer service-related work experience
- Experience working with multiple unions, preferably in the media industry
- Previous experience with multi-state payroll and HRIS functions
