Job Summary
Serving as the subject-matter expert on payroll tax for a multi-client payroll operation, the full-time remote Payroll Tax Analyst will manage compliance and accuracy of federal, state, and local payroll taxes, including registration, auditing, and resolving agency notices.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the expert on payroll tax calculation rules, reporting, and filing for various jurisdictions
- Register new payroll tax accounts and resolve agency tax notices promptly
- Audit and reconcile payroll tax records, ensuring compliance with established standards
Required qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of payroll and payroll tax experience, including multi-state processing
- Experience researching federal, state, and local payroll tax laws for compliance verification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills and a commitment to quality work
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
