PE Licensed Substation Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Substation Protection & Controls Engineer, this remote position will manage technical support and direction for the Substation Design Team, focusing on protection and control engineering for high voltage substation projects up to 500 kV.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance for engineering deliverables related to electric substation projects
- Prepare design packages, including electrical schematics and calculations for substation systems
- Collaborate with project teams on detailed electrical design and project management initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in protection and control design, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design Software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Experience with high voltage projects up to 500 kV
- Ability to manage junior employees and effectively organize multiple complex assignments
