Pediatric Critical Care Reviewer
Job Summary
To enhance the quality of pediatric care, the part-time Pediatric Critical Care Reviewer will perform independent medical reviews remotely, evaluating cases for medical necessity and adherence to standards of care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct objective, evidence-based peer reviews of clinical cases
- Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care
- Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using provided IT systems
Required qualifications
- Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
- Board certification through a recognized medical board is required
- At least five years of full-time equivalent clinical experience
- Active engagement in direct or virtual patient care for a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Knowledge of current evidence-based clinical guidelines relevant to pediatric care
