Peer Caregiver Navigator

Job Summary

To support family caregivers of individuals with serious illnesses, the part-time Peer Caregiver Navigator will deliver psycho-social support through one-on-one sessions via phone or video, utilizing personal caregiving experience to provide emotional support and resource navigation in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver the peer navigation intervention to caregivers, adhering to study protocols and schedules
• Provide emotional support and practical information while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Document each contact accurately and escalate signs of caregiver distress as necessary

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Personal lived experience as a former family caregiver for someone with a serious illness
• Willingness to complete study-specific intervention training and participate in ongoing supervision
• Strong interpersonal and active-listening skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality
