Pennsylvania Diet Assistant

Job Summary

To support patient dietary needs, the part-time Pennsylvania Diet Assistant will utilize department software to transcribe diet orders, ensure accurate meal delivery, and collaborate with clinical nutrition staff while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Enters patient-specific nourishment specifications, allergies, and dietary preferences into diet history files
• Processes and verifies accuracy of patient tray tickets and meal plans prior to meal service
• Updates patient menus and tray tickets based on new admissions, transfers, and dietary changes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience preferred
• Familiarity with dietary software and patient management systems
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
