Job Summary
To support mental health and substance abuse services, the remote Pennsylvania Licensed Care Manager will authorize and review utilization of services, assist with discharge planning, and provide member assistance while collaborating with clinical teams.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor inpatient and outpatient level of care services to ensure medical necessity and effectiveness
- Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as needed
- Develop and oversee discharge plans in conjunction with providers and facilities
Required qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as CEAP, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LSW, or RN
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse settings
- Knowledge of utilization management procedures and community resources for mental health and substance abuse
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Familiarity with DSM V or the most current diagnostic edition
