Job Summary
To support efficient coding practices, the remote Pennsylvania Licensed Coding Analyst will review patient medical records, craft appeal letters, and educate clients on coding compliance while adhering to quality and productivity standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurately review and extract details from patient medical records to create defensible appeal letters
- Utilize coding systems including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS to recommend coding changes that impact financial outcomes
- Participate in Administrative Law Judge hearings as a representative of clients, ensuring high-quality case management
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- One of the following coding certifications: CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CDIP, CCDS
- 1+ years of inpatient hospital coding experience
- 1+ years of experience with DRG methodology
- 1+ years of outpatient coding experience
