Job Summary
Operating remotely, the full-time Senior Grants Accounting Analyst will perform advanced post-award financial administration for sponsored projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy while leading reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform advanced post-award accounting activities, including complex award setup, financial reporting, and award closeout
- Prepare, review, and analyze sponsor financial reports to ensure compliance with sponsor terms and institutional policies
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in sponsored program accounting or related accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP, grant accounting principles, and sponsor compliance requirements
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment
