Job Summary
Evaluating commercial insurance risks, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Underwriting Specialist will support portfolio performance and contribute to business growth through sound underwriting decisions in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze new and existing commercial insurance opportunities, assess risk exposure, and make underwriting decisions aligned with profitability and growth objectives
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen relationships, improve submission quality, and support successful policy placement and retention
- Oversee policy-related activities including endorsements, audits, reports, and claims documentation while ensuring accurate record maintenance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; ability to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license if not currently licensed
- Three to seven years of commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience with delegated authority
- Professional industry designation such as Associate in Underwriting or comparable credential preferred
- Strong analytical abilities with experience evaluating complex or multi-location risks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business technology tools
