Performance Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance system observability and performance, the full-time Observability and Performance Engineer will build and maintain dashboards, set normal profiles for APIs, and support performance testing in a hybrid work environment in the Washington, DC Metro Area.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain dashboards and alerts using AppDynamics, ELK stack, and Prometheus metrics
- Establish normal profiles for APIs and tune alerts to minimize false positives
- Collect performance data continuously and prepare weekly reviews, especially during Filing Season
Required qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in monitoring, operations, site reliability, or performance testing
- Experience with monitoring or log tools such as AppDynamics, ELK, or Splunk
- Understanding of HTTP, APIs, latency, throughput, and error rates
- Basic Linux and scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
