Job Summary
To enhance the performance of digital platforms, the remote contract Performance Engineer will focus on performance testing, frontend auditing, and engineering to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements across applications and infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute performance testing for web applications, APIs, and critical user journeys using tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner
- Analyze results and logs to identify frontend, backend, and infrastructure bottlenecks while conducting performance audits with tools like Lighthouse and Chrome DevTools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance checks into CI/CD pipelines and implement performance improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in performance engineering or software engineering
- Strong experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner
- Hands-on experience with frontend performance testing and monitoring systems
- Familiarity with web application architecture, HTTP, APIs, and distributed systems
