Personal Lines Underwriter III

Job Summary

Serving as the Subject Matter Expert, the full-time remote Personal Lines Underwriter III will independently underwrite complex personal lines applications, provide agent and client support through various communication channels, and mentor junior underwriters while ensuring compliance and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review and underwrite complex personal lines applications and endorsements
• Respond to agent and client inquiries regarding policy forms, coverage, and bind requests
• Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to departmental training and process enhancements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field preferred
• Seven or more years of personal lines underwriting experience, including homeowners and other lines
• Advanced knowledge of Property/Casualty insurance underwriting principles
• Active 2-20 or 4-40 license or industry designation such as CPCU or CIC preferred
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills for complex or high-value risks
