Job Summary

Overseeing the personal lines underwriting team, the full-time Personal Lines Underwriting Manager will ensure profitability and growth through effective risk selection, team supervision, and relationship management, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervises underwriting functions to ensure timely decision-making and proper risk selection
• Builds and maintains agency relationships while resolving service issues collaboratively
• Develops and implements risk management plans and oversees team performance appraisals

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 to 6 years of underwriting experience; supervisory experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of personal lines underwriting and risk management
• Strong people management and coaching skills
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Proficient in utilizing resources effectively to manage operations
