Job Summary

Assisting the Answer Plot crews, the full-time Summer Research Technician will manage regional agronomic research plots, operate farm and drone equipment, execute foliar applications, and collect data while working in various locations across the East.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regional plots, including equipment preparation, seed preparation, and field operations
• Execute foliar applications and collect various agronomic data, ensuring accurate mixing and application of fertilizers and chemicals
• Maintain safety protocols and stay informed on agronomic products, trends, and precision agriculture technologies

Required qualifications

• Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in an agricultural-related major or program
• Pesticide Applicators license required by start date or within 2 weeks of hire
• Technical knowledge in agronomy, ag technology, and crop sciences preferred
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50-60 lbs) and work extended hours during peak seasons
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
