PFL Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing claims organization, the full-time remote STAT PFL Claims Specialist will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations while providing exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Communicating with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information for Short Term Disability claims
• Collaborating with case managers and consulting physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim determinations
• Reviewing complex medical records and performing accurate financial calculations in accordance with company and state guidelines

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
• Experience with disability and/or absence management is a plus
• Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while handling a high volume of calls
