Pharmacist Associate Director

Job Summary

Leading a high-volume pharmacy prior authorization operation, the remote Associate Director, Prior Authorization Operations will manage a team of leaders and over 100 clinicians and technicians, focusing on operational performance, quality, compliance, and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of direct reports and a large workforce of pharmacists and technicians
• Own end-to-end performance metrics, including turnaround time, quality, and productivity
• Drive innovation and continuous process improvement across the prior authorization process

Required qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or B.S. Pharmacy with an active, unrestricted pharmacist license
• 5+ years of pharmacist experience, including 3+ years in prior authorization or utilization management
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, especially through operational or process change
• In-depth clinical knowledge of disease states and pharmacotherapy
• Proven record of delivering measurable improvements in a regulated environment
