Pharmacy Informatics Manager
Job Summary
To enhance patient safety and optimize e-prescribing, the full-time Pharmacy Informatics Manager will manage the integration of pharmacy-related data within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance and best practices while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for medication-related aspects of the EHR build, focusing on clinical workflow design and regulatory compliance
- Oversee and maintain e-prescribing functionality and technical partnerships, ensuring effective medication information mapping
- Conduct rigorous clinical testing to validate medication-related processes within the EHR, including systems integration testing
Required qualifications:
- Experience in the US healthcare IT industry with a strong understanding of healthcare information systems and EHRs
- Prior experience with Medi-Span or Surescripts products and familiarity with NCPDP standards
- Working knowledge of clinical vocabularies such as RxNorm, SNOMED CT, and NDC
- Proficiency in e-prescribing standards and technologies, specifically HL7 and XML
- State licensure in good standing is required at the time of application
