Philosophy Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary

To support a growing educational community, the part-time Philosophy Adjunct Faculty will teach up to 3 courses per term in a remote environment, focusing on providing high-quality instruction and fostering a student-centered learning atmosphere for adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver synchronous or asynchronous seminars and maintain virtual office hours for student support
• Engage students in discussions, manage electronic correspondence, and ensure timely submission of grades
• Participate in professional development and faculty governance while adhering to university policies

Required qualifications

• Master's degree specifically in Philosophy (M.A., M.Phil., etc.) is required
• 1-3 years of related practical or professional experience, preferably in online higher education teaching
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
• Dedication to student success and the ability to engage and inspire students in the classroom
