Physical Designer

Job Summary

Working full-time, the Physical Designer will be responsible for designing photomasks and production artwork for parts and subassemblies using PolyStrata technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and design rules.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare 3D models for mask inclusion and ensure designs conform to layout procedures and design rules
• Develop and maintain design rule check (DRC) scripts and standard cell libraries for PolyStrata processes
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to other designers while leading layout review meetings

Required qualifications:

• Two years of technical training in drafting and engineering, plus a minimum of six years of design engineering experience in IC or MEMS processes
• Proficiency in Design Workshop 2000 or similar mask layout tools is required
• Familiarity with PCB layout using Altium Designer is desired
• Knowledge of CAD/CAE software such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and Ansys HFSS is desirable
• Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
