Physician Advisor II - MD Licensed

Job Summary

To enhance patient care and optimize hospital services, the remote Physician Advisor II - MD Licensed will manage clinical reviews, mentor staff, and maintain quality standards while ensuring compliance and effective resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Conducts case reviews and provides consultation on medical necessity and utilization management to clinical staff
• Mentors and educates Physician Advisors and client facility staff on relevant topics and best practices
• Manages client relationships and contributes to the execution of quality programs within the Physician Advisor team

Required qualifications

• Specialty Board Certified and licensed to practice medicine in the US
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physician Advisor or UR/UM Medical Director
• Proficient in Hospital EMRs and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of utilization management, quality improvement, and patient safety
• Familiarity with MCG/InterQual criteria preferred
