Physician Advisor - SC Licensed

Job Summary

To support efficient resource management, the full-time remote Physician Advisor - SC Licensed will assess medical necessity, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and optimize care management protocols while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Communicates with hospital staff to promote evidence-based care and documentation best practices
• Performs utilization management reviews, including pre-admission and post-service evaluations
• Acts as a medical resource for quality improvement and educates providers on medical policies and coding issues

Required qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Osteopathic Doctor (DO) with an active, unrestricted medical license
• 8 years of broad clinical experience, including knowledge of utilization and medical review
• Current board certification in a recognized specialty
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic projects effectively
