PKI Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a remote, part-time PKI Architect, the consultant will manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive PKI strategy, oversee certificate management processes, and conduct security assessments to enhance organizational security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a holistic PKI strategy aligned with security objectives and manage the deployment of scalable PKI infrastructure
• Oversee certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, and revocation, while ensuring compliance with best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PKI elements securely and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Required qualifications

• Demonstrable expertise in cryptography, certificate management, and networking protocols
• Hands-on experience with PKI technologies and standards such as X.509, OCSP, and CRL
• Strong scripting skills, preferably in Python or Shell, for automation purposes
• Knowledge of IT and Cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, FIPS, and ISO 27001/2
• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred
