Job Summary
As a remote-based full-time Planning Engineer II, the individual will create plans to support multi-gig services/products for residential and business customers, manage network elements, and forecast bandwidth growth to produce capacity triggers for bandwidth relief.
Key responsibilities
- Research, plan, and release projects to engineering
- Develop costing estimates for new residential and cell tower projects
- Perform network analysis to determine optimal network architecture for funding
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Inside plant, Outside plant, and Passive Optical Network
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
- Experience with Metro/Ethernet networks and GIS-based planning tools
- Knowledge of Outside Plant Copper and Fiber Optic Cable design
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel or equivalent programs
