Platform Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Platform Architect for a full-time remote position who will design and build the foundation of a new cloud-based platform, oversee the unified data model, and ensure optimal performance for telemetry-scale operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build the control plane and tenancy for the new platform, merging the first code and collaborating with coding agents and engineers
• Design and manage the unified data model, publishing it as a public API specification and defining the platform architecture
• Ensure retrieval and query performance at telemetry scale by making informed choices about storage, query patterns, and latency targets

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in building back-end and platform systems, with recent experience shipping a multi-tenant SaaS platform or control plane on Kubernetes
• Proven experience designing domain data models for complex operational systems and managing their evolution across releases
• Demonstrated ability to deliver retrieval performance at telemetry scale using appropriate storage solutions and query designs
• Hands-on experience with major public clouds (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Kubernetes, with a focus on identity, tenancy, and security in enterprise SaaS
• Experience in designing and publishing API or data-model specifications for use by other teams or external organizations
