Platform Engineer
Job Summary
As the first dedicated Platform Engineer in a full-time remote capacity, the successful candidate will architect and build scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails, manage the technical roadmap for Platform Engineering, and improve developer productivity through automation and best practices.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for Platform Engineering and lead architectural decisions impacting multiple teams
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and Kubernetes infrastructure
- Enhance developer productivity through CI/CD, automation, and internal tooling
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Expert-level Ruby on Rails experience in building production SaaS applications
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and cloud-native infrastructure
- Extensive experience in designing distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams
