Platform Engineer

Job Summary

As the first and only engineer in a fast-growing crypto and decentralized finance organization, the Founding Platform Engineer will own the core platform, integrate trading engines, and harmonize data sources while working remotely in a highly independent role.

Key responsibilities

• Own the core platform, ensuring system reliability and managing the data layer, rewards engine, and API surface
• Integrate perpetual trading engines and spot trading solutions, while maintaining high-performance data delivery
• Design architecture for seamless cross-chain operations and ensure uptime during peak market volatility

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering resilience for high-stakes systems during massive traffic spikes
• Extensive background in building financial rewards and accounting systems with a focus on idempotency and precise tracking
• Deep understanding of end-to-end latency budgets and advanced database optimization skills, particularly in PostgreSQL
• Strong proficiency in Rust development
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment across North American or European timezones
