Platform Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance DevOps capabilities into DevSecOps, the full-time remote Platform Security Engineer will build and improve engineering workflows for vulnerability management, advocate for security integration in software delivery pipelines, and automate security processes across applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance engineering workflows and tooling for effective vulnerability management
• Advocate for the integration of security checks into software delivery pipelines and developer workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design secure-by-default patterns and prioritize remediation plans for identified risks

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or DevSecOps
• Hands-on experience with security tooling and controls in modern software delivery environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD, source control workflows, and cloud-based application environments
• Ability to write scripts or automation to enhance security processes
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and services is beneficial
