Platform Software Engineer
Job Summary
As a fully remote opportunity, the Platform Software Engineer - Staff/Principal will design and build internal platform infrastructure and services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance scalability and reliability while mentoring engineering teammates.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement robust internal platform components to support software deployment and operation
- Enhance platform services by optimizing infrastructure and migrating existing functionality to new services
- Mentor engineering teammates and ensure adherence to high technical standards and effective collaboration
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in building platform services and distributed systems
- Proficiency in backend technologies, especially with languages like Go or Python
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservice architectures
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
