PMP Certified Technical Director

Job Summary

To support major transportation programs, the hybrid Technical Director, Project Management will oversee cross-functional teams, manage project budgets and compliance, and assist in developing project proposals and resource plans from the Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, or Herndon, VA offices.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor project work on mid-to-large scale transportation projects, ensuring compliance with budgets and contractual obligations
• Support the development of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules, while assisting program managers with change management and quality assurance
• Provide regular project reporting and updates to clients and leadership, identifying emergent issues related to scope, risk, and budget

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or a related discipline
• 12+ years of relevant post-education experience, including 5+ years in transportation projects
• Essential project management certification (e.g., PMP) or established equivalent experience
• Proficient understanding of the project delivery process within the A/E/C industry
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders
