Post-Secondary Counselor
Job Summary
Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Post-Secondary Counselor will provide personalized 1:1 counseling to students, helping them explore post-secondary options and develop strategic plans for their future after high school.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic virtual counseling and teaching experiences through credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing programs
- Guide students in navigating the college application process, including support with personal statements and financial planning resources
- Assist non-college bound students with career preparation, including resume building and interview techniques
Required qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in Post Secondary Counseling, College and Career Readiness, or related fields
- Advanced Degree (MA, MS, MEd, or higher) in School Counseling, Educational Psychology, or a related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of the college admissions process and alternative post-secondary options
- Experience with Neurodivergent Students with Learning Disabilities is a plus
- Proficient in building trust and rapport in a virtual environment
