Power BI Architect
Job Summary
To support enterprise reporting and analytics, the remote contract Power BI Architect will define and govern the architecture using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, focusing on scalable solutions, platform governance, and AI enablement.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise Power BI and Microsoft Fabric architecture, standards, and best practices
- Establish governance standards for workspaces, deployment pipelines, and security controls
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to integrate various data sources and lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics platforms
- 5+ years of experience architecting enterprise Power BI solutions
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI Service, DAX, and dimensional modeling
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, SQL Server, and enterprise data platforms
