Job Summary
To deliver trustworthy reporting and analytical infrastructure for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote Power BI Engineer IV will design and maintain data pipelines, develop Power BI models, and collaborate with stakeholders to transform operational data into decision-ready information.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines from various enterprise sources
- Develop Power BI semantic models and dashboards, ensuring data lineage, performance, and security
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define metrics and validate dashboard outputs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI engineering, or analytics engineering
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience building production data pipelines
- Advanced skills in Power BI, including DAX, modeling, and dashboard publication
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust determination and meet federal security requirements
