Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time remote Power Systems Engineering Leader will guide the GridBeats R&D Protection and Control Engineering team, overseeing project lifecycles, driving grid modernization initiatives, and fostering innovation in protection algorithms and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a skilled team of protection and control engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Oversee the project lifecycle for protection and control systems, ensuring alignment with organizational processes and championing new technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate protection and control functionalities within equipment design and represent the organization at industry forums

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; master's degree preferred
• Proven experience in power system protection and control engineering with a leadership background
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop engineering teams
• Experience with industry standards and regulations related to power system protection and control
• Proficient in Matlab/Simulink and power system simulation tools, with knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC61850
