To support patient access and financial clarity, the fully remote Pre-Access Coordinator will verify insurance coverage and benefits, secure authorizations for procedures, and engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for healthcare appointments and procedures
- Secure necessary authorizations and coordinate with clinical teams to address any issues
- Communicate with patients about coverage, estimated costs, and payment arrangements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in insurance verification, patient access, or related healthcare roles
- Experience with EMR systems such as Meditech, Epic, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic insurance verification tools
- Knowledge of commercial and government insurance plans, including HMO and PPO
