Pre-Award Research Administrator
Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of approximately 120 sponsored research proposals annually, the full-time Pre-Award Research Administrator II will ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and university policies, while providing support to faculty and departmental research administrators in the development and submission of externally funded research projects in a fully remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and process sponsored research proposals, including budget verification and compliance checks
- Negotiate agreements and prepare subcontract agreements using established institutional templates
- Provide non-financial post-award support and serve as a resource for principal investigators and departmental research administrators
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of research administration experience, including proposal review and sponsored project support
- Knowledge of major funding agencies and electronic research administration systems
- Understanding of federal regulations governing sponsored research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
