Preconstruction Manager

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing project development capabilities, the full-time remote Preconstruction Manager will manage front-end project planning, cost development, and schedule creation while collaborating with various internal teams to ensure successful project transitions into construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead front-end planning and preconstruction, coordinating with Project Managers and functional teams on cost, schedule, and constructability
• Develop and maintain budgetary and conceptual pricing models, ensuring alignment with historical data and project assumptions
• Oversee the RFP process for future projects, including scope definition, bid package development, and contractor evaluation

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project controls within commercial construction, preferably in data centers
• Proven ability to build conceptual pricing and schedule models for projects in early design stages
• Experience managing formal RFP processes, including bid leveling and contractor evaluation
• Familiarity with project management platforms like Procore and strong Excel/financial modeling skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive audiences regarding feasibility and risk
