Prepress Operator
Job Summary
Experienced in commercial printing, the full-time remote Prepress Operator will manage file reviews, resolve prepress issues, and prepare press-ready layouts while ensuring print quality and meeting production deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Review incoming files for specifications, including trim size, bleed, and image resolution
- Use industry-standard software to resolve prepress issues and manage PDF proofs for client approval
- Coordinate with account managers to balance production priorities and communicate file issues effectively
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on prepress experience with a commercial offset printing company
- Proven experience in imposing print and preparing files for production
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro on a Mac
- Experience with Enfocus PitStop for preflight, PDF inspection, and file correction
- Solid understanding of commercial print production, including colour separations and print marks
