Prepress Operator

Job Summary

Experienced in commercial printing, the full-time remote Prepress Operator will manage prepress workflows, ensuring print quality and meeting production deadlines while collaborating with account managers and the in-house team.

Key responsibilities:

• Review incoming files for compliance with print specifications, including trim size, bleed, margins, and colour management
• Utilize Adobe software and Enfocus PitStop to resolve prepress issues and manage PDF proofs through to approval
• Prepare press-ready layouts and coordinate production priorities with account managers to balance deadlines and approvals

Required qualifications:

• At least 3 years of hands-on prepress experience with a commercial offset printing company
• Proven experience in imposing print and preparing files for production
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro on a Mac
• Experience with prepress workflows and software such as Kodak Prinergy and Enfocus PitStop
• Solid understanding of commercial print production, including colour separations and print specifications
