Principal Actuarial Analyst
Job Summary
A company in the healthcare industry is seeking a Principal Actuarial Analyst.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver projects utilizing complex actuarial principles and practices
- Develop bid pricing models, review IBNR reserves, and perform ad hoc analysis in support of actuarial goals
- Support provider contracting activities by customizing models to evaluate financial implications of contract changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Services, Mathematics, Statistics required
- Associateship in the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Health Care IBNR valuation, health care cost trend analysis, contract analysis experience in provider group or payer settings, Medicare Advantage bids or other equivalent health policies
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality
