Principal AI Architect

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Principal AI Architect, the successful candidate will serve as the senior technical authority for AI platform design and governance, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable AI systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the evolution of the enterprise AI architecture and establish engineering standards used across the organization
• Develop and operationalize an AI governance framework that includes model risk management and regulatory compliance
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure AI architecture and governance align with organizational priorities and investment decisions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or technology architecture, with significant experience in enterprise AI or data platform architecture
• Demonstrated experience in designing and governing AI systems in production, including LLMs and ML pipelines
• Deep expertise in enterprise AI governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, and modern AI infrastructure patterns
