Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
To build and operate the Azure AI platform and production-grade applications, the remote contract Principal AI Engineer will be a founding member of an enterprise AI Architecture & Engineering team, focusing on hands-on development and technical delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and operate Azure AI environments and enterprise MCP gateway
- Develop production LLM, RAG, grounding, and agentic workflows
- Establish engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development practices
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Python and/or TypeScript
- Deep knowledge of Azure, including Bicep/Terraform and networking
- Proven experience building and operating production LLM/AI agent systems end-to-end
- Strong AI evaluation and evaluation engineering experience
