Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Principal AI Engineer for a permanent remote position, where the candidate will lead the architecture and development of a cloud-native AI platform, mentor a multi-disciplinary team, and drive engineering best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, development, and scaling of a cloud-native AI platform
- Act as the senior technical contributor across a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists
- Drive engineering best practices, software quality, and code review standards
Required qualifications:
- Strong commercial experience building software applications in Python
- Experience as a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar senior individual contributor role
- Proven track record delivering production AI or LLM-based applications
- Experience with modern LLM frameworks and orchestration tooling
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ideally within Google Cloud Platform
